Six days: one boat, one party, no day to rush

Updated 27 October 2026

6 days Komodo private charter: the longest plan Elbark Cruises sells, the whole boat and nine cabins for up to 18 guests. Ten or fewer pay IDR 230,000,000 (≈ USD 14,110) in total; each guest beyond ten adds IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368). The six days shown are a sample route, ordered finally with the captain.

Six sample days with one cluster of stops each

Six sample days, one cluster of stops apiece. Six days and five nights come with a price but no stop list, so the plan uses the standard 3-day route with Rinca added. Whatever order you and the captain settle on is sent in writing before you pay.

  • Day 1: Sebayur or Siaba only.
  • Day 2: Taka Makassar and Manta Point.
  • Day 3: Padar and Pink Beach.
  • Day 4: Komodo Island, Pengah and Kalong.
  • Day 5: Rinca and Manjarite.
  • Day 6: Kelor, then Labuan Bajo.

Weather can move any stop. When it does, the captain shifts that stop rather than the whole day, so the week keeps its shape. No day on the list carries more than three stops.

Stops that can swap places on the day: Manta Point ⇄ Taka Makassar.

Pickup at 08:30 on day 1 is the one fixed hour of an open trip; a private charter's pickup time is set with your date. Every other time on this page is a planning guide, and the captain sets the stop order on the day.

Five nights aboard and how the days unfold

Five nights aboard is long, and a big party feels it in the best sense. By the second night people know which step creaks. By the third each has a favourite corner of the deck, and the cabin handed out on day 1 has become theirs.

Each night is spent aboard, in a bay the captain chooses that evening once the weather is read. Between breakfast and dusk there is time for two swims, a walk and a long spell with a book.

Wi-Fi on board is local only, so anyone who must stay reachable for work needs another plan. For everyone else that is rather the point: the phone stays in the cabin. When the deck is too hot or too wet, the lounge has movie and karaoke entertainment, and a bored teenager finds it in minutes.

Two slow days that a shorter charter has no room for

Day 1 is Sebayur or Siaba and nothing more. It is the light first day: boarding, unpacking, a swim, a long first lunch and an evening to learn the boat. No shorter charter can spare it. The 3-day route spends its opening day on four stops, and the party goes to bed spent.

Day 2 is Taka Makassar and Manta Point, both for snorkelling. The first is a sandbar that only shows at low tide, ringed by shallow reef. The second has current, so a crew member leads and weaker swimmers wear a life jacket. Tide decides which comes first; mantas are never promised.

Two stops leave the afternoon empty, and that empty afternoon is what six days buy. Someone deals cards. Someone takes the paddleboard or the canoe, someone swims again. Teenagers sleep late, and nobody wakes them.

What six days cost: the boat, then each guest

Up to 10 guests, six days are IDR 230,000,000 (≈ USD 14,110). Every extra guest to 18 adds IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368). Twelve guests come to IDR 242,000,000 (≈ USD 14,847), or IDR 20,170,000 (≈ USD 1,237) each. Eighteen fill the boat at IDR 278,000,000 (≈ USD 17,055), which is IDR 15,440,000 (≈ USD 947) a head.

Ten guests pay IDR 23,000,000 (≈ USD 1,411) each for six days and IDR 17,000,000 (≈ USD 1,043) each for four. Per day, per head, the longer plan is the cheaper one: the two added days cost each guest less than any single day of the four-day plan.

Park tickets are never part of it. A guide or a photographer is a separate request with its own quote. The free beach dinner setup starts at three nights; six days have five. For a 2027 sailing the current list applies until a new one is issued.

What the sixth day buys over a five-day charter

Set against five days, the sixth buys one thing: a gentler start. The five-day sample opens with three stops in a row. The six-day plan gives day 1 to Sebayur or Siaba alone and day 2 to Taka Makassar and Manta Point. From day 3 the loop is identical.

On paper that is minor. For a party with small children or grandparents it is the change that matters most, because nobody has to board, sail and snorkel on the same day. For up to ten guests the extra day is the gap between IDR 200,000,000 (≈ USD 12,270) and IDR 230,000,000 (≈ USD 14,110). Each guest after the tenth adds IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368) in either plan.

So ask whether your party would actually use the day. If it would, the sixth day costs less per head than almost any other day on the ladder.

Parties suited to six days, and parties better at four

Six days suit friends who want a proper break. They suit a family spanning teenagers and grandparents, and a company team that needs two days just to stop checking messages. Above all they suit people who like a slow rhythm and a deck chair.

Six days on one boat is long, and we say so. With several children under six, choose four. The same goes for colleagues with a fixed allowance of leave, and for anyone who has never slept a night afloat. Children from age 3 pay the full fare; aged 0 to 2 they travel free.

Padar and Rinca have steep, rough stretches. Anyone who would rather not climb stays aboard while the others walk. The captain decides at sea and the ranger on land, each on the day.

Who Elbark Cruises suits

  • Groups of up to 18 who want four to six days on one boat, with nobody split across two vessels.
  • Three generations of a family who need nine cabins of different sizes, from the Misool master to a lower-deck pair.
  • A company team or circle of friends who would rather spend a long week at sea than a long weekend.
  • Guests who want the Misool master cabin, with its private balcony, sofa and jacuzzi.
  • Open-trip guests who want an ensuite, air-conditioned cabin of their own on a Friday or Monday sailing.

Who should look at another boat

  • Parties above 18: that is the published maximum and the boat sails with no more.
  • Guests who need dependable internet all day: the Wi-Fi on board is local only.
  • Divers: diving is not part of the trip, and the water kit we list is for snorkelling.
  • Anyone who wants a one-day trip: the shortest charter is 2 days and 1 night.

Check before you book

  • You want a balcony or a bathtub in every cabin: only Misool has the balcony and jacuzzi, and only Misool, Weh and Mentawai have a bathtub.
  • You expect daylight windows in the four lower-deck cabins: they have a small round marine window.
  • You want an open trip longer than 3 days: the shared trip is 3D2N only, and longer plans are private charters.

Securing six days on the calendar

People book leave early, and a six-day week books early too. WhatsApp us the head count, the dates and everyone's age; a written cabin plan comes back, and nothing is held until you confirm it.

A 50% deposit secures the week. The rest falls due 30 days before sailing; changing the date costs IDR 500,000. On day 6 the boat is in around midday, so book flights from 14:00, giving eighteen people and their bags time to get ashore.

Should Elbark be unable to sail, your dates pass to a phinisi no lower in class, with nothing more to pay. If the party prefers, every payment is returned inside 14 days.

FAQ

How much is a 6 day yacht charter?

On Elbark, six days and five nights are IDR 230,000,000 (≈ USD 14,110) for the whole boat with up to 10 guests. Each guest from the eleventh to the eighteenth adds IDR 6,000,000 (≈ USD 368). A full boat of eighteen is IDR 278,000,000 (≈ USD 17,055). Park tickets come on top, as do a guide and documentation.

Is six days too long on one boat?

For some parties it is. Friends, families with teenagers and grandparents, and teams after a real break use six days well. With several children under six, four days work better. The Padar and Rinca climbs are optional, and between the sundeck, the lounge and nine cabins there is always somewhere to be alone.

What does day 6 look like?

In the sample, day 6 is Kelor. You climb a short, steep path to the viewpoint over the bay, swim once more, and reach Labuan Bajo around midday. Flights from 14:00 are safe. The captain fits the morning to the sea.

How does the price per day compare with 3 days?

Each day of a longer charter costs less per head. Eighteen guests pay IDR 15,440,000 (≈ USD 947) each for six days against IDR 9,780,000 (≈ USD 600) each for three. Divide by the days and the six-day rate is the lower one; the boat is the same, only the divisor changes.

Can children manage 6 days?

Children who love the water manage well, because every day has a long afternoon aboard. Under-threes are free, and from 3 a child pays full fare. Padar and Rinca have steep, rough stretches, so send us the ages and the plan bends around them. For child seats, ask us.

What is not in the 6-day price?

Park tickets, including the drone ticket, are not included, and neither are flights, travel insurance, personal expenses or alcohol. If you want a guide or documentation, we quote them separately. You receive the final figure in writing before any payment.
