What the park charges a party, and why no boat price includes it

KEXI's park package per guest: 3D2N: IDR 650,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest; 4D3N: IDR 750,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest. A group entering Komodo National Park pays IDR 250,000 for each foreign guest, and IDR 50,000 for each domestic guest on a weekday or IDR 75,000 at a weekend. Elbark Cruises fares never include it, so every guest pays the park separately, on top of the cabin or the whole boat.
Who pays, how much and when
Every guest has a ticket, and a ticket is for one person. A foreign guest pays IDR 250,000. On weekdays the domestic ticket is IDR 50,000; at a weekend it rises to IDR 75,000. The table below shows the rates as last checked, under the regulation known as PP 36/2024.
No boat price contains these tickets. This is true of a cabin on an open trip and equally of the whole boat on a private charter, on every page of this site. A fare that hid the park fee would look cheaper, and the difference would turn up on your bill.
The park sets the rates, and the park can change them. We re-check them before we quote, and your written quote states the fee in force. The park package we quote per guest already holds the ranger, the local levies and the government entrance ticket (PP 36/2024), paid on top of the boat price unless your quote says it is included.

One package covers the government entrance ticket (IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, PP 36/2024), the ranger fee and the local levies. It is quoted per guest and paid on top of the boat price, unless your quote says it is included. For other trip lengths, the desk quotes the package with your booking.

A party of fourteen over five days
The calculator covers 2, 4 and 10 guests, for 1, 2 and 3 days. Fourteen guests are the 10-guest row added to the 4-guest row, day for day. Read the column that matches your passports: foreign, domestic on a weekday, or domestic at a weekend.
The table stops at three days, and a 4, 5 or 6 day charter needs more. The rule is the same: a ticket is for one person and for each day in the park, so the total grows by one day's row for every further ticket day. For four ticket days, add the 1-day row to the 3-day row of the same guests.
How many ticket days a five-day charter uses depends on the days the party spends inside the park. That follows the stops and the order the captain chooses, so the count is not the number of nights. We count the ticket days with you in the written quote, and we show the working.
Mixed parties are common. A family with relatives from two countries pays two rates, and the total is the sum of both columns. Send us the passports' countries and the dates, and we return one sum for the park and one for the boat, kept apart.

Park charges that sit outside any boat rate
The boat price pays for the boat: the cabins, the meals on board, the snorkelling gear, the paddleboard, the canoe, the pickup and the drop-off in the city area. The park fee pays for the park. They are different bills from different bodies, and they meet only in your budget.
Flights, hotel nights, travel insurance and personal expenses follow the same rule, and alcohol is excluded from every fare. The same exclusion reaches a private charter's guide and its photo and video documentation, both on request and quoted separately. An open-trip cabin fare includes the cruise director guide and the photographer, and still excludes the park ticket.
For a party of 18 the park line is a sizeable sum. Put it into the plan on the first day, and divide it among the guests as you would the hotel.
Ask us before you fly: permits, rangers and other charges
A camera drone needs a separate park ticket and a permit, so ask us before it flies. We tell you what the park requires. We do not fly a drone for you.
On Komodo and Rinca the walks are led by rangers, who choose both path and pace. The ranger and local levies are already inside the park package. Our quote lists those we know of on your dates, and marks what the park can adjust.
Nothing on this page is a sighting promise. The ticket buys entry. What you see on the trail depends on the day, the ranger and the animals.
FAQ
How much is the Komodo entrance fee?
A foreign guest is charged IDR 250,000; a domestic guest is charged IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends. The ticket is per person and for each day in the park, and it is paid separately from any boat price. The figures follow PP 36/2024, and we re-check them before we quote.
Is Komodo Island closed in 2026?
This site announces no closure for the listed dates. The park authority decides what is open, and the harbour authority decides when boats may sail. If the harbour or the park stops the boat, you are offered another phinisi at least as good as this one, or the whole amount refunded inside 14 days.
Who pays the park fee?
Every guest holds one ticket in his or her own name. You pay it apart from the boat, and your written quote shows the line. Tell us the ages and the countries, and the quote prices each ticket. Foreign and domestic guests pay different rates, and a domestic guest pays more at a weekend, so send us the passports' countries and the dates.
Does the boat price include it?
No. Neither a cabin fare on an open trip nor the whole-boat fare on a private charter includes the park ticket, the drone ticket, a ranger levy or a pier charge. The boat price covers the boat and what is on board. The park is billed on its own line.
