How we handle reviews
A review reaches this site only if we can trace it to its source. Most are public reviews on a platform, and for those we show a short excerpt with the name of the platform and a link to the original. A few come as WhatsApp messages to the booking team, and those appear only with the guest's consent and a first name.
A long review is shortened to an excerpt, and the cut is marked. No word inside it is changed, and no score is altered. A mixed review stays mixed.
Once guests of this boat have written, their words go on this page under the boat's name, with the trip date and the cabin or charter length. Until then, the page stays honest and short.
Reviews we leave out
We leave out any review we cannot trace. That includes a screenshot with no source, a quote passed on by a friend and a message whose author has not agreed to its use.
Praise of other boats goes too, when it would make Elbark sound better than we can show. A cabin that a guest liked on another vessel says nothing about Misool or Savu. We also leave out ratings that we cannot date, because an undated score cannot tell you how a trip went this year.
