A Komodo couple cabin on a shared phinisi trip costs IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) per person in Banda Neira and IDR 11,500,000 (≈ USD 706) in Misool, the master cabin with a private balcony and jacuzzi. It is 3 days on Elbark Cruises, on Fridays and some Mondays, with other guests aboard. The cabin is yours alone.
Misool stands apart. The master cabin sits on the upper deck and measures 34 sqm. Inside are a double bed, a bathtub, a rainfall shower and a work desk, and outside is a private balcony with sofa and jacuzzi. The name comes from the karst islands of Raja Ampat in West Papua; the cabin itself looks out over Komodo water. No other cabin has the balcony or the jacuzzi.
Weh and Mentawai come next, also on the upper deck. Each is 13.6 sqm with a bathtub and big windows. Weh is named after Pulau Weh at the northern tip of Sumatra. Then Selayar and Rote on the main deck, 9.24 sqm, with ocean-view windows and a work desk, beside the dining room and lounge.
Toraja and Alor on the lower deck are 8.75 sqm with a work desk, and Banda Neira and Savu have the same size without a listed desk. All four have a small round marine window. All nine cabins carry a double bed, air conditioning and a private bathroom with a rainfall shower. The choice between them is a trade of space and fare, nothing more.

Say a couple takes Misool. They pay two Misool fares, and nothing is added for the jacuzzi, the bath or the work desk, because the cabin is the product. Say they take Savu instead. They pay two of the lowest fares on the boat and sleep beside a porthole. They use the same dining room, lounge and decks as everybody else.
The fare includes the cruise director guide and the photographer, meals, snacks and drinks, snorkelling gear, the paddleboard and the canoe. Park tickets are never inside it. They cost IDR 250,000 for each foreign guest and IDR 50,000 for each domestic guest on a weekday.

A shared trip is a shared boat. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are shared with the other guests, either in the main-deck dining room or at the outdoor tables beneath the canopy. Coffee, tea and water are free-flow all day. By the second evening the table has become a table of people who know each other's names.
The cabin is the private part. In Misool the morning coffee goes out on the balcony. In Weh the big windows hold the early light. In Selayar and Rote the windows look out over the sea. In the four lower cabins the small round window shows the water line and no more.
When a couple wants time apart, the bow has a relax area and the after deck has a lounge area. The sky deck and sunbathing areas sit on the main and upper decks. No seat counts are given, so we cannot promise an empty corner. The evenings also have movie and karaoke entertainment, for those who want it.
The trip leaves on Fridays and on some Mondays, and it runs for 3 days and 2 nights. Every date is in the calendar with its status, and the first is Friday, 6 November 2026. A flag on a date shows a few cabins left or a date that is full, and we confirm the cabin before you pay.
Day one is the 08:30 pickup, then Sebayur or Siaba, Taka Makassar, Manta Point and Padar. Day two is Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Pengah and Kalong, where the bats fly at dusk and the sun sets at 17:57 in July. On day three the boat visits Kelor and Manjarite and docks in Labuan Bajo between 11:00 and 12:00. Book flights after 14:00.
For a pair, the date is mainly a choice of company. A date with many cabins free means a quieter boat. A date with a flag means a fuller one, and a few couples among the guests. Message us the two or three dates you like, and we say which cabins are open on each.

2027 is open to book now. The 2026 rate card applies until the 2027 card is issued. If a rate changes before your balance is due, we tell you first and you may cancel without charge. Open-trip dates run from March 2027.

Not at two guests. The whole boat for 3 days is IDR 140,000,000 (≈ USD 8,589) for any party up to ten, so a pair would pay the price of ten. A shared cabin costs a fraction of that. The sums turn only when the party grows. From 14 guests the whole boat per head drops below the Misool fare, at IDR 11,290,000 (≈ USD 693) each against IDR 11,500,000 (≈ USD 706). It never drops below the Weh fare, even at 18.
A pair hires the boat for what a shared trip cannot give. That is 4, 5 or 6 days, a start on any day of the week, your own order of stops and a boat with no other guests. Five days for the first ten guests is IDR 200,000,000 (≈ USD 12,270). Couples who want that travel with friends or family and fill more of the cabins.
If it is only the two of you and three days, take the cabin. That is the honest answer, and it is the cheaper one.
