Elbark Cruises
Twelve occasions, one boat with room for eighteen
Updated 27 October 2026
Ideas for a Komodo boat trip with family or friends start from one fact: Elbark Cruises has 9 cabins and room for 18 guests, and hiring it whole starts at IDR 120,000,000 (≈ USD 7,362). Twelve occasions follow, from a three-generation family to a company retreat, each with its own route and its own sum.
Who books a long charter on Elbark
Most parties that book Elbark are a family, a circle of friends or a company team. The boat suits them because nobody is split across two vessels. Nine cabins, two guests in each, add up to eighteen people on one deck.
Twelve occasions are described here. A multigenerational family, eighteen friends, a company retreat, a trek-and-snorkel week, a milestone birthday and a VVIP long voyage take most of the bookings. Couples on a shared trip, photographers, mixed divers and snorkellers, solo travellers, travellers on a budget and a graduation party complete the list.
Every page shows an itinerary adapted to that party and a worked price for its size. Eighteen is the limit. A party above it cannot sail.
Picking the occasion that matches your party
Start with the head count. Then the ages, then the days. Fourteen with three generations points to five days. Eighteen friends point to four or five. A team of sixteen with two managers points to five. Ten people who want to be quiet point to six.
A couple needs no charter, nor do two friends. A cabin on the shared trip does the job at a fraction of the price: 3 days, on a Friday or a Monday. The pages for couples, solo travellers and the budget cabins say how.
An occasion that is not on the list is still welcome; send the head count and the number of days. The plan follows in writing, with one price you can read out to the party.
What every occasion on this boat shares
What every occasion shares is the boat. Nine air-conditioned cabins, each for two, with an ensuite bathroom. Meals, snorkelling gear, a paddleboard and a canoe, local Wi-Fi and pickup in the city area are in the price.
No boat price ever includes park tickets. Guide and photo or video documentation lie outside a private-charter price, and each is quoted on request. Only the 3-day route has a fixed stop list; every other route is a sample, settled with the captain and confirmed to you in writing prior to payment.
Who fits where is drawn with you before the deposit, because the cabins differ in size and the oldest guests should not discover that on the stairs. They take the larger ones first.
FAQ
Which trip suits a big family?
Five days suit three generations best, with the oldest guests in the upper-deck cabins and the youngest in the lower-deck ones. Fourteen relatives pay IDR 224,000,000 (≈ USD 13,742) for the whole boat, which is IDR 16,000,000 (≈ USD 982) each. Children aged 0 to 2 travel free.
Which trip suits a company team?
Five days with 16 colleagues and two managers pay IDR 236,000,000 (≈ USD 14,479) for the boat. The retreat page covers the cabin plan, local Wi-Fi and the invoice. Hotel nights before and after the sailing are not in the price.
Can a party mix ages?
Yes. The full fare begins at 3; a child of 0 to 2 is not charged when a parent or guardian travels too. Padar and Rinca are steps and dirt paths, so the youngest and the oldest decide on the day. Give us the ages and the cabin plan is built around them.
